Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She works as an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation often. She began her career at ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since age nine. Her skills were instrumental in helping her get her first job as a production assistant for Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she was a producer of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was then employed to the CBS station to work as an sports reporter. In 2009 she relocated to Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent at KNVO TV 48 Univision. Her stories covered immigration, drug trafficking, and others on the Texas and Mexico border. She was also the Spanish reporter on the newscast of 5 p.m. as well as anchor and reporter on the newscast from 9 p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English and also a Spanish reporter for 10 p.m. Also, she was a substitute for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate, where she was able to take on other responsibility. She reported on the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, younger Collins was able to take a job with her older sister. Antonietta had just graduated high school but already knew the things she wanted to accomplish. The campus was a dream for her. The university also provided her with the program she was interested in. After completing her studies, she was accepted to the University with a degree in media studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a member of the class, established a lasting relationship with the student. His passion for journalism and her self-confidence instilled confidence in her. She in turn was determined to achieve the standards he set and to not let him down.
